War may only be declared between two fully established packs. Loners can not be declared war against but may choose to ally themselves with a main pack and send that pack reinforcements. War may be declared at any time and there does not need to be any reason for it. When you declare war, the alpha of your clan must post a notice in one of the other clan's boards, stating their intentions. This should not be an IC post. When this is brought to staff's attention, we will set up a sign up sheet. Each pack receives 10 slots for characters to sign up in to defend/attack the land. Should the defender's land be separated from their main pack lands, they receive only 5 slots. Both sides are given 1 week to sign up. When sign ups are closed, staff will randomly assign battle opponents. If there is an excess of characters on one side, they will team up in one battle with another member. Please note that any rank or clan may sign up for the slots if the character is at least 2 years of age. You can even turn on your own clan if you wish.
Once opponents and partners have been assigned, they will be posted for 24 hours before the battle grounds open. Each set will be assigned a number that corresponds to their allotted thread. Staff will create the scenario and a re-post of the rules that are found at the bottom of this section. Breaking of rules will result in automatic loss of the battle for our character. At the end of each battle, the appropriate staff members will grade on the following: Damage Dealt (in Health Points), Damage Taken (in Health Points), Creativity, Spelling/Grammar. We will post a winner as soon as the majority vote comes in. Each section is worth 25 points, for a total of 100 points. Whomever comes out with the most points at the end is the winner of the battle. When all battles are decided, the clan with the most points, NOT the most wins, is the winner of the battle and will win the territory.
Please remember that it is Staff who decided how many heath points were lost at the end of the battle.
Rules for Battle
Fighting
Fights may take place at any time and for any reason (some of the most common are ranks, mates and slaves). Fights follow the same rules that war battles follow. When you wish to engage in an official fight, you must contact staff. We will set up a battle grounds thread for you and your opponent, with the scenario, object at stake and rules. When the fight is over, staff will follow the same grading guidelines as war and the character with the most points wins the battle and the object being fought over. Please note that when fighting for rank, you must fight up the rank tiers one at a time. For example, a regular warrior can not just up an fight the alpha for the alpha's rank. He/She must first fight the General, Alpha/Beta Guard or something else of that tier and then make their way up. Alphas however, may challenge a member of any rank if they feel the character is a threat to them. If a character looses a battle for a new rank, they retain their old rank (unless pack law states lower) and may not fight the same rank again for 2 weeks. They are allowed however, to fight for a different rank in the same tier. Please be aware that pack laws do apply for rank fights but they may not prohibit them.

Rules for Battle
1. You have 48 hours to reply to the thread. The post must be completed within that time period.
2. Each character is allotted 1 entry post, 3 dodges and 5 attacks. There must be only one attack per post. At the end of each post, please note the number of dodges you have left as well as a description of your dodge for that post (if used) and your attack for that post.
3. "Foul Play" (IE - mud in the face, sneak attacks, etc.) is allowed so long as it does not break other site rules.
4. Use of magical abilities is allowed but must follow the description to the t. If your ability does not list how many times it may be used in battle, you may only use it once. If you have used a magic it does not count against your attack/dodge numbers but must be also described at the bottom of your post.
5. Post order must be followed. It will be listed in the scenario post.
6. If your character is wearing any items purchased, you must list these items in your entry post. (at the bottom)
7. Please note that your character may die from it's injuries. We often don't tell you when your character has died as we usually leave death decisions to the player, but if the character has suffered from mortal wounds (IE you are at 5 HP or less), we will stop the fight with your automatic loss at 40 points and their win at 75 points. If you do not seek the help of a healer within 2 weeks of your forced loss, we will count the character deceased.
8. Please be realistic. You can only dodge so much and we can dock points from creativity if we feel you can been a little unfair in Damage Taken OR Damage Dealt.
9. For fights, the minimum word count has been reduced from 200 to 100 words to make it easier on you. You are free to post long posts if you would like.
