Stubborn would be one of the first traits someone would notice about Rancient. She has an extremely strong will and a quick mind and tongue to match. She’s fiery and near impossible to control. She refuses to allow someone to control her and despises those that try to flirt with her and will be quick to remind them just how strong her teeth are. Part of this overly strong will stems from being partially blind. She goes out of her way to prove to others she is just fine without help and will snark at any one that says otherwise. Don’t dare this femme into doing something, she’ll do it. If you were to bet, never bet against her. Cold. Rancient isn’t a socializer, but she doesn’t go out of her way to scare others off. She just seems to hold everyone out at arms-length and that is often misconstrued as being aloof and standoffish. There’s some truth in that. She doesn’t trust at all and it takes a lot to earn it from her. However, once it is given she has a fierce heart for those she loves. That strong-will is transferred to a deep love for her family and friends. Rancient does have a temper and it is most often expressed by her tongue. That doesn’t mean she isn’t a fighter. Her teeth have served her well and she isn’t afraid of who they land on. This is often seen as overconfidence and ego, but it is simply bravery. She can hardly see and she refuses to allow that to stop her. But, all this is something new to her. She used to be and still can, on occasion, be cowed. It takes a much larger and ferocious dog to stop her strong heart and make bravery go cold, but it does. She won’t ever admit it, but sometimes she can be outdone and abused, no matter how strong she seems. h i s t o r y . Born and raised by her family in , Rancient grew up happy among her own kind and loved her pack. After reaching adulthood she was promoted to hunter, a good rank for a youth. The bitch enjoyed her work and grew well, healthy and happy. She didn't always get along with her brothers of course- especially her rather irresponsible older brother. Finding herself so very devoted to her work, and on top of it a rather dominant bitch, she did not enjoy his attitude. With time, however, Rancient was not promoted again. Her temperament made her wrong for those higher positions that were open, so she was left as a hunter. When her brother abandoned them the bitch was furious, and accompanied by a feeling of stagnation in her role with the pack, the young bitch went to her alphas with a plea. Romanov, gentle as always, heard her out and liked her proposal. The Forgotten had many enemies, but could not afford to have their wolves gone for extended periods of time in pursuit of criminals, nor could they do everything needed to capture these criminals without the risk of angering other packs. So Rancient was made into a loner specifically to do this job- without any affiliation to her home pack, she could execute her mission without worry of political retribution. With time Rancient began to take on jobs for other packs, persuing their criminals for them just as she chased Forgotten's. Eventually others joined her and they began to take on warrior's jobs of all kind, becoming the guild they are today. Though Ego is the Guildmaster, she lives for the thrill of the hunt and devotes most of her attentions to the head hunter division, allowing the leaders of each of the other divisons to act as they feel necessary rather than 'micro managing' everything that goes on in the guild. f a m i l y . Mother - Kara Father - Fritz Siblings - Damen, Chainsaw o t h e r . Rancient's tongue, paw pads, nose and gums are also pink. Since her Mutation is being Albino, her offspring will probably be Albino too. Rancient is usually seen with one of her close friends, Izaya, who she met outside of her pack's territory long ago. Chainsaw, her companion, who was named after her younger brother. Even though Chainsaw -- The original / Her brother -- was a male and Chainsaw -- Her companion / Raven -- was a female, Rancient thought they were alike in many ways. She is annoyed by her nickname 'Ego' given to her by Izaya. She responds to it, because she grew up with it.
